Welcome to High Park farm. We, Philip and Jane, moved here in 2004 to a pretty rundown farm with dilapidated outbuildings. Having fallen in love with the place we have spent many years lovingly converting it for guests to come and enjoy it, hopefully as much as we do.
We love the fact that as High Park Farm, Kirkbymoorside, is located between Kirkbymoorside and Gillamoor, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, it has glorious 360° views of the Vale of Pickering and the Howardian Hills to the south and north to the Moors. Our remoteness affords us a genuine tranquillity with masses of wildlife around the farm including hares on the lawn and swallows dipping into the pond. Yet we are just a short hop to the lovely market town of Kirkbymoorside. The farmhouse still maintains its character with the beautiful stone outbuildings and sheep and ponies to be found grazing in the surrounding fields.
The walks here are wonderful with breathtaking views that change with the seasons. There is no need to jump into a car as three footpaths go right past us! So it really is a walkers paradise. We love to choose special places on the estate to take a picnic, or just a pre-dinner drink, and we are more than happy to share these idyllic places with our guests. Our dogs love to welcome and meet new four legged friends.
For those who book the Haven / Maheshwar we have a hot tub with wonderful dark sky views.
Situated on the Ravenswick estate we are perfect for shoot parties with the cottages and house combining to make a very exclusive place to stay. We also have a huge party room that we can let out if you take the whole property so it is great for weddings, anniversaries and big family get togethers.
