We have two beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, with Victorian brass beds with the most comfortable mattresses. Our rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. You are welcomed with a cuppa and cake on arrival.
There are two main rooms to choose from. The Scott suite has a king-sized (5 foot) fourposter bed and a double ended bath with lots of lovely “bathroom smellies” to relax with before using the fluffy towels and robes. The Reckitt Suite boasts a super king sized bed (6 foot) with over twenty miles of uninterrupted views to the south. There is also a wonderful shower room attached to it.
Our guest wing includes a cosy sitting room and lots of books; with modern glass fronted log burner, making curling up with a book or magazine on a winter’s night very tempting. We have Freeview TV and internet connections. It has a well stocked fridge with soft drinks and milk. We have a serious drying room for those occasional wet days.
Breakfast is a feast. We have multiple options for different tastes and wishes from Porridge, fresh fruits and freshly squeezed orange juice, pasties a full English of maybe scrambled egg and smoked salmon and even Indian Poha. Homemade jams, organic milk for the local farm are just some of the offering.
We also include this in our Bed and Breakfast offering in the cottages by mutual agreement, if you so wish. This makes for a really secluded and romantic escape.
Full English Breakfast is served in the dining room or conservatory, but we also offer freshly prepared fruit salads and juice as well as pasties. We have a terrace in the garden and on fine days meals may be served outside. There are several incredible restaurants in the area where you may wish to have dinner. Just ask and we can make the booking for you. However, we are quite remote and you may therefore prefer to have dinner with us. We don’t have a licence so you just bring your own and we will serve it for you. If you are staying in the cottages we send you a seasonal menu before you arrive so if you want a delivery meal we can provide that.
